Analysis on Personality Types of MBTI and Comparison with Department Satisfaction and Job Attitudes in Dental Hygiene Students

Abstract

Purpose: This study aimed to figure out the MBTI (The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) personality types of Dental Hygiene students, and compare with Department Satisfaction and Job Attitudes for providing basic information to find effective learning method and individuals appropriate careers.
Methods: A total of 74 Department of dental hygiene students in C University participated in Google questionnaires including MBTI types and Department satisfaction.
Results: The most common MBTI personality types of Dental Hygiene students were ESFP, ESFJ and ISFJ. Compared with Department Satisfaction and Job Attitudes, MBTI personality types did not show any statistically significant results. But there were significant results with ¡®Career Values¡¯.
Conclusions: Most of the students have positive potential on Department of Dental Hygiene, irrespective of MBTI types.
